APPS series

Large panel residential houses of APPS project emerged in 1984. The first building emerged in Kyiv in the second residential area of Obolon. From that moment and until the 2000s, such buildings were erected in different districts of Kyiv — Troieshchyna, Pozniaky, Kharkivskyi and Bilychi.

The series features large design elements that allowed a more diverse layout as compared to predecessors.

Outer walls are made of lightweight expanded clay aggregate and faced with light green or ochrous tile.

Inner walls are made of armoured concrete.

One passenger and one freight elevator are available for tenants.

Kitchens are equipped with electric cookers.

Ceilings are high — more than 2.7 m.

Triangular semi-recessed balconies make houses of this series unique. They are mostly available in three-room, and sometimes in two-room, apartments. Also, three-room apartments have a hall with the area of 9 to 18 m².

Houses have an irregular shape.
