BPS series

BPS is a typical series of houses built in 1970-1980s. You can find them in Kyiv in Obolon, Sviatoshyno, Holosiivskyi and Lisovyi.

16-storey panel houses have an engineering storey, white or light panels, trapezoid semi-recessed balconies and balconies. Some front access doors feature a second exit.

There are 8 apartments: 4 one-room and up to 2 two- and three-room apartments per storey.

Earlier buildings are characterised by large windows from the floor to the ceiling. In winter, it is very cold in such apartments.

Floors are covered with parquet planks.

One freight and one passenger elevators are available for tenants. A rubbish chute is available.

Both gas and electric cookers were installed. Gas cookers were mostly installed in buildings erected after 1980.

Ceilings are 2.65 m high.

Kitchens are average with the area of 8.5 m². Regardless of the layout, a balcony in this room is bevelled.

Faces have supports. Flights of stairs are separated to create a smoke-proof escape.
