KP series

Houses of a typical KP series emerged in the late 1980s. According to the period of their construction, they are referred to Brezhnev-era buildings. You can find them in Kyiv in Troieshchyna and Kharkivskyi.

These are 10-storey buildings with 4 one- to four-room apartments and one engineering storey. One- and three-room apartments are located in the central sections; and two- to four-room apartments are located in the face and corner sections. But there is an exception, in KP-01-10 there are 5 apartments per storey.

Walls were made of brick and floors are made of armoured concrete. The outer walls of the houses are usually faced with glazed tile. Houses have flat roofs.

There are a lot of front access doors (3 and more).

The rooms are separated and the height of the ceilings is average (from 2.55 to 2.65 m).

Floors are covered with linoleum.

Kitchens are equipped with gas cookers.

Restrooms in the one-room apartments are combined with bathrooms and in multi-room apartments restrooms are separated.

One passenger elevator and a rubbish chute located behind it in the bays between the storeys are available for tenants. Pram storage rooms are also available.

Houses of KP series differ from other typical series by their unique balcony shape. Balconies and semi-recessed balconies are available in almost any apartment.
