The layout of houses of KT series is the most widespread. KT stands for Kyiv typical building. The first houses emerged in the 1970s, but until 2000s they underwent a number of modifications. You can find them in any commuter towns of Kyiv.
The number of storeys varies depending on a house from 9 to 12 and 16 plus one engineering storey. Entrance halls are one-way.
Buildings of KT series are characterised by a dark rusticated dressing of outer panels. Houses with violated waterproofing of walls and junctions between the panels in this series are very rare.
Passenger and freight elevators are available for tenants.
Kitchens are equipped with electric cookers.
Ceilings are high — more than 2.7 m.
Floors are covered with linoleum.
The areas of corridors in three-room apartment reach 9 – 12 m2.
There are two semi-recessed balconies in each apartment. The rooms have seamless floors that make ceiling levelling easier. Replanning is not recommended, as the load bearing elements are not localized.
