Series 96

Panel houses with apartments of typical 96 series emerged in 1970-1980s. You can find them in different districts of Kyiv — Teremky, Troieshchyna, Kharkivskyi, Obolon, Vynohradar, Sviatoshyno and Bilychi.

Their exterior resembles brick buildings of 87 series, but they differ in the area of rooms. They are so similar that you can even find the following ads: “You won’t find houses 87 series for sale, but only brick/panel houses of 96 series”. As well, buildings of 87 series are sometimes referred to as buildings with the individual layout. Typical buildings of 96 series became the first winterized panel buildings.

 Each 9-10-storey building has 4 apartments per storey and an engineering storey. One passenger elevator is available for tenants.

The number of rooms in the apartment varies from 1 to 5.

Kitchens are equipped with gas cookers.

Ceilings are more than 2.65 m high.
